I went birding today at Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary in the Everglades and got skunked. There just wasn’t much action out there. It happens. Since there were few birds, I looked for interesting swampscapes. Here’s one I like:

Thanks Steve. That’s how it goes sometimes for the wildlife photographer. The silver lining is that when your preconceived notions don’t turn out you have an opportunity to look around and see things that you would have otherwise missed.
Exquisite. Your photography often reminds me to take time to see. There’s never a sense of a ‘grab shot’ with your work. It’s full of purpose. I love it!
Thanks Donna. I constantly have to remind myself to “see” the photo ops where ever I am.
Sometimes it is easy. Sometimes not. I probably would have missed this shot a few years ago. Now I spend more time looking before I shoot. Thanks again for your kind words.
