It was quiet today at Squaw Creek. Wading birds that were so abundant only 45 days ago were scarce. There were a few ducks and coots but no geese yet. A few eagles were hanging out on the north end. The water level, although higher than back in September, is still very low. It will be interesting to see how many geese, if any, show up this year. I imagine there will be just a few (and therefore few eagles) unless the water level comes up a lot in the next 30 days.
Even with few photo ops, it was a nice autumn afternoon to be out in nature. I did manage to get off a shot of this eagle and a little grebe.
