I know that Pentax is not the usual name seen with nature and bird photography so it is exciting to see your great work.
I currently have a K10D. I am exploring bird photography for myself and I would be interested in your comments on the advantages (or even if you think it is an advantage) of moving to a K-7. I have been advised to move to Canon/Nikon but your photographs (and other bird work on the Pentax user forums) make me think that Pentax is just fine and that I need to make some pictures and spend less time on the web!
I have a Tamron 70-300mm which I know is not of the same quality at 300mm as the DA 300/4 which is the next purchase on my list to look into. But where do you go for a longer reach in Pentax? How did you find that A 600mm?!
I look forward to your comments; it's good to hear from people who actually use the equipment they comment on!

Terry,

We had a great time. I think I got several great shots in the morning light - I'll post them in a few days. Thanks for being attentive to the needs of a mid-western photog!!!! I'd be happy to provide a testimonial for an outstanding photography tour.

Hey Frank,

Hope you and the wife enjoyed the trip today. I know the blow towards the end took away any great photo ops, however maybe you picked up a couple good ones in the a.m. Checked out some of your pics - fantastic - going to get into checking them out after I get the boat cleaned up - maybe over a glass of wine.

Hope to meet up again sometime, Capt. Terry
