Great Photos Frank – My favorite is the final sunset.

I didn’t bother to stop at the Rowe Sanctuary during my two trips to view the cranes this year. I’ve never felt welcome there.

I have considered renting their blind but $200 is steep without any assurance that cranes will show up nearby. The blind rules that they published online don’t say a thing about multiple shutter bursts or LCDs. You have a right to be upset.

Thanks Steve. There are many places in Florida where the birds are habituated to humans. Everywhere in Florida they seem to be much more tolerant than any other place I have photographed birds.

Great collection of shots, Frank. That first individual seems to have been pretty tolerant of your approach. I agree…that third shot is outstanding.

Spectacular shots! I can hardly pick a favorite – but that third one is fantastic. Thanks for getting me to think about the exposure when photographing a white bird.
I’m guessing that your Florida trip will provide many more posts. I hope so.
