Our Colorado fall color photography workshop will be the highlight of your year! Join us for this colorful 5-day workshop in the spectacular San Juan mountains of Southwest Colorado. The San Juans are famous for their rugged beauty and magnificent aspen groves. Each fall, those aspens turn a spectacular iridescent yellow which, combined with blue skies and snow capped mountains, makes this a landscape photographer’s paradise. Join us as we travel the area’s back roads to shoot grand vistas of towering aspens, vast mountain meadows, and alpine lakes. The workshop will be based in Ridgway, Colorado.
Scenic Aperture’s workshops provide unique and exciting opportunities to photograph North America’s most scenic areas while providing meaningful learning opportunities for photographers of every skill level. Each workshop includes multiple morning and afternoon photo shoots with digital dark room sessions in between.
On-location and digital dark room training is customized for each participant’s needs from fundamentals to advanced techniques of landscape photography and digital post processing. Our workshops are both exhausting and exhilarating with long days during which we work hard to take advantage of our time together. We will push you to have fun, develop your creativity, and create beautiful images for which you can be proud.
If we’re lucky, we may experience an early dusting of snow which makes the yellow aspens even more dramatic.
