WHAT’S INCLUDED
Workshop cost includes guiding and photographic instruction in the field and digital post-processing instruction during digital dark room sessions.
WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED
Workshop costs do not include lodging, meals, transportation, gratuities, travel insurance, and other items not specifically indicated as included. Transportation to and from workshop origination point are not included in the cost of the workshop. Participants are responsible for ground transportation. Car pooling is encouraged.
LODGING
Lodging recommendations shall be provided upon receipt of deposit and registration. However, participants may make any lodging choice they desire.
MEALS
Participants are encouraged to carry breakfast bars, snacks and water during photo shoots. Meals are available at or near our lodging facilities however the primary objective of a workshop is photography, not meals, and often the best light is at breakfast and dinner time. Many people find a two-meal routine (e.g. a late breakfast after a sunrise shoot and either an early or late dinner before or after a sunset shoot), supplemented with breakfast bars and snacks, works well during workshops. Participants shall be responsible for their dietary needs.
RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENT
A deposit of $300, unless otherwise indicated, is required to secure your registration for the workshop. The balance is due 60 days prior to the start of the workshop. If registration occurs within 60 days of departure, the full amount is due at registration. You may register by making your initial deposit and final payment on-line through PayPal (see workshop description pages). U.S. customers may also submit payments by personal check. CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS, DELAYS
There will be no refunds due to delay or cancellation caused by weather before or during the workshop. Scenic Aperture shall not responsible for additional expenses Participants may incur due to weather delays or cancellations.
Refunds:
- 90 or more days prior to start of workshop: Deposit shall be refunded less $100 administrative fee.
- 89 to 61 days prior to start of workshop: Full deposit is retained.
- 60 or fewer days prior to start of workshop: Full cost is retained.
We encourage participants to purchase refundable airline tickets and trip cancellation insurance.
Should Scenic Aperture cancel a scheduled workshop, a participant shall have a choice of receiving a full refund or transferring to another workshop that has space available. Scenic Aperture shall not however, be liable for expenses incurred, such as airfare or accommodations, and for this reason we recommend the purchase of refundable airline tickets and trip cancellation insurance.
ITINERARY CHANGES
Scenic Aperture reserves the right to make changes to the published itinerary. Most changes are made to accommodate changing weather and lighting conditions and are intended to maximize the participants photography experience.
HEALTH CONSIDERATIONS
Participants must be in good general health. Though the pace will be relaxed and the distances relatively short, participants must be capable of hiking up to one mile round-trip over uneven rocky terrain while carrying their gear.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Workshop participants shall release and discharge Scenic Aperture and its owners, employees, instructors, agents, representatives, and assigns from any and all liability, even if that liability arises out of negligence and/or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities mentioned above. Assumption of risk, waiver and release of liability, including negligence, encompasses, but is not limited to death, bodily injury, illness, damage, theft and/or loss of personal property during said a workshop which occurs as a result of anything during the entire workshop. Each participant shall be required to sign a release and assumption-of-risk form prior to the workshop.
