Scenic Aperture will design a custom photographic journey through the Navajo Nation in northern Arizona. Visit two premier locations in the Navajo Nation; Monument Valley and Canyon de Chelly. Hone your landscape photography skills with Frank Comisar, an internationally collected fine-art nature photographer and Scenic Aperture’s founder.
This will be an amazing journey through the most photogenic portions of the Navajo Nation. We will start our journey in Monument Valley, one of the most dramatic landscapes found in North America and the quintessential symbol of the American west. After Monument Valley, we travel to Canyon de Chelly where we will shoot rugged canyon landscapes, ancestral puebloan dwellings, and ancient rock-art. Here we will follow in the footsteps of photography masters such as Ansel Adams and Edward Curtis.
During this workshop we will photograph some of the most iconic vistas of the American Southwest. Towering sandstone buttes, deep canyons, ancient dwellings and mysterious rock-art are just a few of the countless opportunities to make memorable photographs.
We are passionate about making great photographs. Our goal is to help you do the same. We’ll make sure you get to the right place at the right time. To maximize photographic opportunities, our itinerary will be flexible to make the most of changing weather and lighting conditions. Join Frank to learn advanced techniques of landscape photography and digital post-processing.
