WHAT’S INCLUDED

Our workshops are private and custom designed for you. As such, what's included varies and is based on your preferences. All workshops include photographic guiding and instruction in the field and the classroom (where applicable). Workshops and Tours may also include digital darkroom sessions where we finish our photos, provide software training, and critique our work. We also provide fun and inspiration at no additional charge!

WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED

Again, our workshops are private and custom designed for you. Therefore, what's included and not included is up to you. Unless otherwise noted, workshop price does not include lodging, meals, transportation, gratuities, travel insurance, or other items not specifically indicated as included. Transportation to and from workshop origination point is not included. Participants are responsible for ground transportation.

Participants may be required to provide ground transportation to and from photo shoots. Carpooling is encouraged.

LODGING

If lodging is not included in your private workshop, recommendations shall be provided upon receipt of deposit. However, participants may make any lodging choice they desire.

MEALS

Unless otherwise indicated, meals are not included in the price of workshops. Participants are encouraged to carry nutrition bars, snacks and water during photo shoots. Meals are usually available at or near our lodging facilities. During workshops, many people find a two-meal routine (e.g. a late breakfast after a sunrise shoot and either an early or late dinner before or after a sunset shoot), supplemented with nutrition bars and snacks, works well. Participants shall be responsible for their dietary needs.

RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENT

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure and finalize your registration. Final payment is due 60 days prior to the start of the workshop. If registration occurs within 60 days of start date (30 days for Tours), the full amount is due at registration. You may register by contacting Scenic Aperture. Deposit and final payment can be made through bank transfer via Zelle or credit card (add 3%). U.S. customers may also submit payments by personal check.

CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS, DELAYS

Workshops: Refunds for workshops are not available for cancellations unless we can replace your booking with another party. If we are able to replace your booking you may choose a full refund (less the non-refundable deposit) or apply the money to a future workshop. Due to this cancellation policy, we highly recommend you purchase travel insurance and refundable airline tickets.

Half-Day and Full-Day Tours: Refunds for tours are not available for no-shows or cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to departure. Due to this cancellation policy, we highly recommend you purchase travel insurance and refundable airline tickets.

Scenic Aperture reserves the right to cancel any workshop or tour due to  unforeseen circumstances. For any workshop or tour cancelled by Scenic Aperture, participants will receive a full refund for fees paid. Other related expenses, such as airline tickets, are purchased at your own risk. For this reason, we highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance and fully refundable airline tickets.

There will be no refunds due to delay or cancellation caused by weather before or during workshops or tours. Scenic Aperture shall not be responsible for additional expenses Participants may incur due to weather delays or cancellations.

RESPONSE TO COVID-19

Due to the ongoing and rapidly changing situation with regard to COVID-19, Scenic Aperture has implemented specific measures to protect the safety and health of participants and staff. To the best of our knowledge and ability, we shall comply with CDC social distancing guidelines during workshop and tour activities. Specific policy and safety requirements shall be provided at the beginning of each workshop or tour. Participants shall be required to comply with these policies and may be required to submit a Self-Declaration Form immediately prior to the start of a workshop or tour. Anyone who fails to do so, or exhibits symptoms of COVID-19, shall not be permitted to participate and will NOT be provided a refund. Scenic Aperture reserves the right to change this policy and the Form at any time and without notice.

ITINERARY CHANGES

Scenic Aperture reserves the right to make changes to the planned itinerary. Most changes are made to accommodate changing weather and lighting conditions and are intended to maximize the participants’ photography experience.

HEALTH CONSIDERATIONS

Participants must be in good general health. Though the pace will be relaxed and walking distances relatively short, participants must be capable of hiking up to one mile over uneven rocky terrain while carrying their gear.

AGE RESTRICTIONS

Minors shall be accompanied by a legal guardian at all times during workshops and tours.

Satisfaction Guarantee

Although we cannot guarantee the weather or wildlife behavior, we are happy to provide a 100% satisfaction guarantee to our workshop clients. If you are not completely satisfied with our service, just let us know within 7 days and we will gladly refund your money, no questions asked.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Participants shall release and discharge Scenic Aperture and its owners, employees, instructors, agents, representatives, and assigns from any and all liability, even if that liability arises out of negligence and/or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities mentioned above. Assumption of risk, waiver and release of liability, including negligence, encompasses, but is not limited to death, bodily injury, illness, damage, theft and/or loss of personal property during said a workshop which occurs as a result of anything during the entire workshop.
